The Koenigsegg CCX is a mid-engined sports car built by Koenigsegg Automotive AB. The project began with the aim of making a global car, designed and made to comply with global safety and environment restrictions, particularly to enter america car market. To market cars in the US many alterations were designed to the design of the CCR; the previously used Ford Modular engine motor was replaced with a Koenigsegg engine designed to operate on 91 octane petrol, readily available in the United States, and to meet up with the Californian emission specifications.The name CCX is an abbreviation for Competition Coup?
